PUEBLA CITY TOUR   BY TRAM

PUEBLA CITY TOUR WITH MUSEUMS

Walking tour through the historical district: the city's Zocalo, Cathedral, Rosario Chapel, City Hall, Candy's street, the artist district. Entrance and visit to the Amparo Museum, one of the largest in Latin America that has a large collection of pre-Hispanic and contemporary art. Entrance and visit to the Palafoxiana Library, declared by UNESCO as cultural heritage of humanity. CULINARY TOUR IN PUEBLA

Puebla is one of the three states with the greatest variety of gastronomy because of its strategic location. Our gastronomy has been named a Human Heritage by UNESCO. During  colonial times, our city was a forced stop for travelers to have a rest during the trips between the Pacific and Gulf of Mexico to Mexico City. In addition, the nuns magical hands  of the convents in our city, managed the creation of the most emblematic dishes of our country: The Mole Poblano and chili in Nogada. Visit the Ex-convent of Santa Rosa, where legends say the nuns invented the most representative dishes of Puebla; visit to a windmill mole, candy street, zocalo, Mayor Palace, Rosario Chapels. You will have a culinary demonstration where you know the secrets of preparing the dish of the season on duty. CHOLULA TRAM DEPARTING FROM PUEBLA CITY AND VISITING TALAVERA WORKSHOP

Tuesday through Sunday departures  at 11:00 a.m.
We depart from the Puebla main plaza to Cholula, passing by historical avenues in our city. Before arriving to Cholula, we will stop at a Talavera Workshop, where we will know the process to create this fine art pieces with "Denomination of Certification". The accepted theory is that the Dominican friars from the Santo Domingo monastery in Puebla asked the Order in Talavera de la Reina, Spain to send friars who could teach local potters the art of tin-glazed ceramics.  It is said that the indigenous people of Mexico were very skilled potters and already had a very long tradition with clay pottery production. However, they did not know how to use the potter's wheel or tin-glaze their pottery, which is one of the main characteristics of the Majolica ceramic.
We will continue to a Panoramic tour through Cholula passing by the archaeological site of Cholula, Santa María Tonanzintla church where the fusion of the Spanish and Mexican culture is reflected in the architecture and decoration inside the temple; San Francisco  Acatepec  Temple, Magician House. Free time to enjoy the city and visit on your own: the San Gabriel former Convent, Caballero Aguila Museum, Cholula Pyramid interior, and have a traditional lunch at the "Portales" in the Main Plaza of Cholula. At 18:00 hours return to Puebla.

We will drive to "Paso the Cortes", where Hernan Cortes, the Spanish Conqueror, stop and admired for the first time Puebla and Cholula. We will continue and when we arrive to the "Popo", we will hike on the mountain and visit some small cascades, beautiful landscapes and will have time to take lunch on the small restaurant on he mountain.
